Katie Pentney is a Canadian lawyer specializing in human rights. She holds an Advanced LL.M. in European and International Human Rights Law (summa cum laude) from Leiden University, a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from Carleton University. She developed this podcast series while working as a Visiting Researcher at the Institute for Information Law (IViR) at the University of Amsterdam.
In a previous life, she worked as a litigator at a law firm in Toronto, and as legal counsel at the Information and Privacy Commission of Ontario.
